An idea alone is nothing, an idea alone cannot generate anything, it only gets activated when supported by the passion, by a sentiment which pushes to action. Passion pushes us to collect the knowledge and the resources necessary to transform our idea into something real.
The Rippols logo shows the section of a different layers of a fluid made of a lot of red passion which incubates enough orange knowledge and a drop of yellow action which generates movement, ripples, waves, sometimes a tsunami of innovations and opportunities.
Rippols is the drop, you have the knowledge, you have the passion!
“Confusion of goals and perfection of means seems, in my opinion, to characterize our age”
How do we get to know what we don’t know but need to know?
The need to manage largely unknown phenomena is not an exception but the rule:
“What will the next fashion trend be? What market will develop after social networks?
Is cloud computing a concrete opportunity?” Companies are searching in vain for ways to answer these questions.
The ability to manage the unknown characterizes individuals and organizations and, if developed, guarantees competitiveness, success, and a more serene environment.
The better we know a scenario, the less anxiety we have in facing it.
So, you need to develop the awareness of a team’s potential by:
- improving communication both internal and external to the team;
- managing projects in a strict but flexible manner;
- developing the ability to act in a constant and sustainable manner
How many ideas do we have that we don’t put into practice?
How many times have we had an idea without having the courage to express it?
How much damage does an idea that goes unexpressed in a meeting cause to the individuals and their organization?
Our talents and our intelligence are often trapped in the impregnable cage of our mind, the conventions and preconceptions about ourselves, our colleagues, and our organization.
The most intangible, but also the most precious, company asset remains inactive: ideas that are transformed into concrete ideas.
It is through respect, listening, and transparent communication that you build a generative environment capable of activating the enormous potential of our companies.
We exercise these muscles to preempt change and be faster than the phenomena we observe.
Rippols has developed a new managerial approach called “Active Intelligence”. It is based on the optimization of a company’s internal resources via the adoption of a new work perspective. Our method consists of three stages:
Practicing the basics
Fear of the unknown and uncertainty distinguish our choices and our performances. Often worsening them.
Via workshops, our team will help you understand the mechanisms of uncertainty and how to fight them using simple techniques which, if practiced
thoroughly, reduce risks and fears and boost the ability to do.
Is a flexible approach to project management based on three dimensions:
Race starts at 2 PM
Is the operative follow-up stage.
After acquiring and assimilating the active intelligence basics and methods, we can accompany you on an operating level for a set period of time to check the results with you and remove any obstacles to their achievement.
Each stage of the program is autonomous and will increase the company’s ability to preempt and manage change and uncertainty.
Anxiety prevents us from acting. Fear paralyzes us.
It becomes an increasingly denser, resistant net which makes decisions, initiatives, and innovation harder or even impossible. Using new tried-and-tested management techniques together with a renewed conception of the company and its collaborators is the solution to turning the process around and hunting fear from the field of action and success.
There are three basics steps to triggering this virtuous process.
Learning once more to respect your colleagues and the ideas they bring to enable a return to listening, dialogue, and communication, and opening the way to collaboration based on transparency and reciprocal help.
Our projects are a journey that we cannot undertake on our own.
Reestablishing a climate of trust enables productivity to grow in just a short time via the exchange of ideas and precise, honest feedback on the team’s work.
Communication creates new solutions; silence and doubts kill them off.
As a result, the waterfall project management model is no longer enough. The traditional stages must be joined by the three dimensions: Communication-Configuration-Organization, which are constantly monitored and adapted to support and anticipate changes. This ongoing action enables an unprecedented response flexibility. Our experience in Formula 1, the biomedical and aerospace industries, and highly-volatile trade sectors confirms the validity of our approach.
In the classic conception of project management, the resources, communication, and organization are defined at the offset and they are expected to remain more or less unchanged until the end. Nowadays, however, projects are constantly evolving under the pressure of continuous scenario changes (financial crises, market opportunities). What was true in the past is no longer relevant today! The only element that remains unaltered is the existence of a project and the need to complete it!
Like with a Formula 1 team, project teams must exactly define their communication channels in order to rapidly make well-advised, shared decisions. But we are talking about much more than just simple internal and external communication channels. The key lies in establishing a real collaboration approach for processing and distributing information throughout all of the project stages which must be constantly renewed and reconsidered. Deadlines, risks, players, and beneficiaries are constantly evolving. Every project has its own ecosystem in continuous evolution. How can we anticipate changes and retain efficiency? The answer lies in always listening and constantly asking questions.
Are you good at listening?
To create a solid, concrete project structure, each project stage must be supported by awareness of the:
- resources available
- activities to be carried out
- socio-cultural background.
The constant analysis and ongoing repeated discussion of these elements boosts the project team’s ability to tackle situations that would otherwise be considered unexpected.
Do you know your limits?
Knowing who talks to who, about what, where, when, and how, is
the key to building an organization that both reflects and acts. Some activities are carried out twice or behind schedule. These situations create internal conflicts. Why? Because in situations of uncertainty, the project team expands and the decision-makers multiply.
Most of the time, the lack of process structures and the lack of shared responsibility lead to demotivation of the team.
How can you create a solid, lasting organization? By reconsidering it during every stage of the project, in order to adapt it to the needs of the team and the context.
Are you ready to work in a team?

The sermon now ended, Each turned and descended; The pikes went on stealing, The eels went on eeling. Much delighted were they, But preferred the old way.

The crabs are backsliders, The stock-fish thick-siders, The carps are sharp-set All the sermon forget. Much delighted were they, But preferred the old way.
Often when you have learned new techniques and have been inspired by a new style of collaboration and performance, you find yourself working the same way as before for various legitimate reasons.
“Race starts at 2pm” is the operative follow-up program which means we don’t abandon you to your doubts and selfsabotage that usually crop up when you tackle change.
The time and money you have invested must bear fruit and, if you wish, we propose a program to check the progress of the objectives you have set and eliminate the reasons that impede rapid, efficient improvement.
We will establish together the frequency and time to be dedicated to these checks so as not to steal precious time from you.
To be sure that your projects will take to the track at exactly 2pm. Punctual. Fast. Reliable.
After winning 5 world championships in Formula 1 with the world’s most competitive team, my vision and my perception of business excellence changed dramatically.
I wondered how a team becomes a winning team and how ordinary people like us reach such special results.
Using experience and by constantly observing, the specific Rippols approach was born: freeing clients’ know-how and skills in order to reach their objectives in this climate of uncertainty and fear typical of our times.
For over two decades, Antonio Calabrese has been learning and sharing know-how with high-profile organizations in many areas of business. Aermacchi, Instrumentation Laboratory and KPMG are just some of the enterprises Antonio partnered before becoming CIO of the Ferrari F1 Team.
At the end of 2008 Antonio founded Rippols with the mission to enable organizations to use technology and internal human resources as a competitive differentiator.
Antonio lives in Milan. He is married to Brigitte and has two children, Ludovico and Sofia.
Some of the Antonio’s commitments and achievement:
And now you are alone. You have learned a lot, you have crystal clear objectives but it is difficult to stick on them and you find yourself working the same way as before for various reasons.
To be sure that your projects will take to the track punctual we offer you "Race starts at 2pm". It is the operative follow-up program structured in 6 to 12 half day meetings with the project team to check the project milestones and recognize and manage the doubts and self-sabotage that usually crop you when you tackle change.
What is the project which is more important for you?
With the "C2O" program we will learn how to tune the Configuration, Communication and Organization antennas of one real project in order to guarantee its success.
In 4 to 10 non consecutive days we will develop new competencies and align the team to lead a real project to success.
How do we turn our ideas into actions? Why we feel so blocked when we are starting something new or facing a change?
"Practicing the Basics" take the forms of seminar or workshop to practice the basics skills and techniques which will facilitate us to achieve success. We will discover how to face the unknown and the uncertainty which characterize our professional and personal lives.
From 2 to 3 days of work together, talking about real cases and rereading them under the new lights of respect, listening and transparency.
